Florida In Trouble

youtube 150x150 Florida In TroubleWith the last video I game you many statistics about the area and how bad the job situation is in our district. The last video was read from the information that I wrote down and did not come across as well as I would have liked. With this video I just shoot straight from the hip and show just how I feel about what is being done to us in Washington. There is no reason why there should be as much unemployment as there is. It is the single most devastating thing that has happened to our economy. Without jobs we are never going to get out of the recession that we are STILL in. That is the way that I feel and until I see economic growth in our area you are not going to change my mind about the fact nor the minds of those that have to live it each and every day.

Here is the information that I shared with you in the last video, the facts and figures that I used in making the video.

Hi, my name is William Cleave Drummond the second, registered as a member of the Reform Party and I would like to be your next representitive for first congressional district of Florida in 2012.

Right now our Congress is just not working the way it should. Our nation and we here in the panhandle can not afford 2 more years of their bickering back and forth and not getting the business of the nation done. It is time for that to change and you can help that change in 2012 by voting out the current members and voting in those that want to see our nation and state excell in job growth. It is time to take back america and get it out of the dumps that it is in.

In november of this year there was an unemployment rate of 10% according to the bureau of labor and statistics while the national average was 8.6%. In all that puts florida #44 in jobs. That means that there were only 7 states with worse unemployment the what we in florida are seeing. As to the counties in the district the unemployment rates in Escambia County was 9.9%. In Santa Rosa County 8.7%. In Okaloosa County 7.7%. In Walton County 6.8%. In Holmes County 7.6% and in Washington County 10.3%. That is an average unemployment rate of 10.2% and that doesn’t even cover the under employed or those that no longer regestered as unemployed but still unable to get work. Do we really want to see this continue to happen? Do we want to let Congress play with our lives the way it has been? No, we need change what is happening and the only way that is going to happen is if you take control and practice your right to vote and sign political petitions.

If we want to see changes around here we need jobs in the area that people can actually work at that pays well. We need jobs for the people that are here so that they can enrich the district and the communities that they live in. I want to see this happen and will do all that I can to see this happen. I don’t want 2 more years of a do nothing congress as the news and forcasters have been claiming it to be.

It is time for a change and I am asking you to help me in making that change a reality. With enough signatures from registered voters in the district it will be possible to have more options come election day in November. We need a change in Washington and you can help that happen, in fact everyone in Florida is able to help with signatures on petitions this year. Right now the new lines have not been drawn for the congressional districts. Because of that qualifying signatures can be recieved from any registered voter in Florida. This makes this a perfect to see change that can and hopefully will change all of our lives and our districts for the better.

I would like to thank you for your time in watching this video. My name is William Cleave Drummon II, The Reform Party Candidate For The 1st Congressional seat in Florida
